Silver Forest

During a recent trip to Maryland to visit our Uncle Ernie, Terri and I had the opportunity to see some amazing winter landscape scenery on Route 81 near Minersville. The trees were covered with ice and with the sun in the right position (lucky for us) it gave the appearance of a silver forest. It was amazing.

Terri took some great photos from the car.  Enjoy…

wtd – “rushing”

My contribution to Fablevision’s Creative Juices “what the doodle” for this week takes me back to one of my favorite places – the river at Mellow Park. Typically a relatively quiet moving river, this week became quite ambitious with the recent combination of rain and melting snow. A few photos to describe the event. Enjoy …

Just for a point of reference, the photo below shows a bench which sits next to part of a walking trail that follows along the river.

Click here to see some additonal photos of the river.

I had the pleasure of taking some portraits of my nephew Matt and his fiance, Janel two Sundays ago. Here are a few photos from the series.

Goodbye your 20’s

When Renee started her Goodbye my 20’s Blog segment, we remember every moment like they were only yesterday, and since has sparked a concern of mine that many of our old photos might at some point begin to deteriorate, so I started a project to get them in a digital format for safekeeping. Amazing how fast 30 years goes by, and to tell you the truth I could probably start my own blog of the first 30 — hmmmm…, nah, I won’t go there. However, I did decide to take a look at these original converted photos and post a couple of them as a look back, much farther back — like to the beginning, where the excitement all started and hasn’t stopped yet!!!

Yeah, we’re proud, grateful, lucky, fortunate — and if we had a chance  to do it over, we wouldn’t change a thing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENEE, Looking forward to the next 30.
